8/20 蟹入りオムレツで罰金

ミシュランの星（たぶんピググルマン）の付いたラーン・ジェイ・ファイという食堂が、客に蟹入りオムレツ（カイジアオプー）で4,000THBを請求したところ、運悪く？相手がインフルエンサーだったためにネットで話題になり消費者保護委員会事務局（OCPB）から2,000THBの罰金を科されたそうだ。

The Michelin-starred Raan Jay Fai restaurant, famous for its crabmeat omelette, was fined 2,000 baht by the Internal Trade Department for not displaying the price of a “special” crabmeat omelette, in violation of the Goods and Service Prices Act.

いくら蟹が入っているからとは言え外国人で無いタイ人に4,000THBも取ることに驚くが定価でも1,500THBということでさらに驚いた。

いい気になってるのか、それとももう客に来てほしくないのか。
